Does anyone know what harness is for?

There was a fire in my engine bay but I did some repair and I'm completely lost on what this harness is for. I cannot find the other end of this harness. Although the car can start but the engine doesn't sound right. The wideband readings is always lean and the medium, high fuel trim, and FTO2 is always a 100% no matter how I adjust the SAFC.

Is has the original four blue wires.

I think it is for the IAC. The sensor on the throttle body below the Throttle body elbow. I know that the IAC has a square plug like that one, and the 2gs have the square plug front o2. 1gs have a circular plug for the front o2.

No, I already have the IAC harness plugged in. The harness I'm talking about is next to fuse box right by the battery.

I know that there is one plug that is for grounding to set ignition timing. That plug is not that one but if you added wires you may have made that one reach the IAC. I will look at my harness tomorrow and see, all i can think of is maf or IAC. I don't remember any other square plugs other than those two.

The IAC and CAS are square harnesses but other ends of the harness are mounted by the wiper motor. And I use a MAF w/ a translator which uses a different harness. I'm just dumbfounded, maybe I just don't use that harness. The car is heavily modified.

ok so i checked it out and it looks like that harness plugs into your cruise control box. So im assuming you removed your cruise control and that is why you are not using this plug.:thumb:

That make sense but I swear to god that the only reason I repair it when the fire burned it because I used it.

Oh well, the car idles fire but as I said before the wideband always reads lean with the medium and high fuel trim and FTO2 always 100% and the engine doesn't sound quite right. It must be something else other than the harness.

how do you calibrate the a wideband?

No, I don't know how. My wideband, the PLX M-300, is pretty old and in the manual is doesn't say anything about calibration. And besides even if it off caliber the engine would not be like this. No matter how I adjust the SAFC is doesn't run right.
