My stock oil pressure gauge is not working on my 97 eclipse GST. I just put a used motor in it and the gauge did not work before either. The new motor came with the censor by the oil filter so I figured it would work, but the new one does not either... Do you guys think it is more likely that this censor is bad too, the gauge is bad, or the wiring.

there are 2 switches. 1 shows oil pressure and the other makes the oil pressure light come on on the dash. maybe you mixed the wires. happened to me and would not work at all. if not i would check if the wire is good.

It is probably a problem with the wiring. Either the wire is mixed up, unplugged, or just has a bad wire. If I were you I would just go by an aftermarket oil pressure guage. You can get a nice Auto Meter electrical oil pressure guage for about $50 to $60. It comes with a new sending unit and is more accurate then the factory guage.:)
