90 with 93 trans, need 1st/2nd hub/slider, Mitsu says theres 3 part #'s, which one ?

Tranny grinds when i downshift into 2nd gear, i rebuilt my trans and didnt put the 1st/2nd hub/slider in which im pretty sure thats causing my grinding into 2nd gear. i called up mitsu and asked for a hub and slider for my 1st/2nd gear. the car is a 1990 but the trans came out of a 1993 awd. mitsu said there is 3 different part #'s.

i dont have a VIN for the original 93 trans....

You did swap the shifter cables, shifter base and shifter from the 93 or any 91-94 right?

no i didnt, when i bought the car it was like this. car ran fine before trans busted. have 90 shifter with 90 shifter cables . the only thing on the that was changed was the bracket for the shifter cables.

Hmmm, thats weird, because I did the same swap and tried to just swap the cable brackets on the tranny and that didn't work for me. I had a lot of problems with my gears, but swapping the base plate, cables, and shifter solved it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
