Balance shaft belt? Does it do it most between 900-1200 rpm's?

I'm with the motor mounts, especially the rear. Harmonic balancer wouldn't do it, neither would a balance shaft at idle.

Once again, at idol, the whole dash shakes, rasing the rpm makes the vibration stronger(just sitting still, not moving)My engine mounts are welded solid. This is not a tiny vibration. When driving, cant rev higher than 2000 rpm because of the vibration.

Just wondering, has your dash been taken apart lately? Are all the bolts holding it down? Is the whole car shaking or just the "dash"?

Please Help!! Bad Vibrations
My 420a gets a real bad vibration, but only around 2,000rpm. It doesn't matter if i am stopped or going. I have heard it could be a mount I've heard it could be the clutch. Any advice will help.

Bad vibrations could mean any number of things it could be a mount or clutch or it could be a misfire or even one of your pistons could be jacked. I wouldnt mess with this or even drive it for that matter. You should defintaly take it to a mechanic to see whats wrong you dont want to take a chance on cracking your block or anything like that.

The car that I am currently driving is a 96 Talon. But I am fixing up my 95 so the 96 is just pretty much a parts car for interior, but i still need to be able to drive it. The guy that i bought i from put new crower cams into it, and he says that it started doing it when he put those in but i don't think that it is the main problem

Gee, I wonder if that could have anything to do with it.

i see alot of you had this vibration problem, as did i. i did the mounts and it took everything away. you said your mounds are welded solid? im asuming that would be the problem seeing is how the motor can not vibrate freely so its got to send that vibration somewhere.

I was wondering why I was reading so many posts in which no one had pointed that out.
OP the more solid your mounts are the more vibration you will get in the car. The rubber in the mounts used to absorb the vibrations, but now since they are welded and metal doesn't really absorb vibrations it amplifies it they go into the chassis.

Thanks for 0 help
First the balance shaft was out of time because of bad tensioner. Most of all it damaged the rear shaft bearing on the rear shaft< eventually tearing the bearing out on its own. also solid wealded mounts dont add too much vibration. it just gets a little louder in side the car(wise guys) So i did the balance shaft delete because when resetting the timing, the oil pump pulley felt nice and seased up. Removed the oil pan and front case...... and like i yes me suspected that it was a problem with a balance shaft. After the shaft delete runs fine, most of all NO VIBRATION. Finally thanks for all of the up in the air ideas. All you have ta do is read my posts.
