k i bought a o2 sensor but it came with out the connector and i dont got my old one and i was thinking to jus splice them straight to the other connector and my new o2 gots diffrent color wires there are 2 WHITE, 1 GREY, 1 BLACK in the instructions it says
GREY-sensor ground, WHITE-heater power or ground, BLACK-signal, WHITE-heater power or ground and i got a RED, A WHITE , AND TWO BLACKS on my car which wire goes were and do u think that this is a good idea

Well, if you are talking about splicing it into the harness and cutting off the connector then I would say its not too bad of an idea if you don't have the old sensor to cut off the plug end and its your only option.

If you must hard wire it into the harness then use some quick disconnect splices. Radioshack has waterproof male/female connectors that you can splice in to make it similar to the original plug. They will be individual plugs for each wire, but should offer similar elec. resistance to the factory harness. If you don't use quick disconnects then:

1. You will have to thread it into the O2 housing before you splice it because it will not thread in using the O2 sensor socket if it is already hardwired into the harness.

2. You will have to cut it out if you ever need to remove it (ie: turbo, manifold, O2 sensor housing upgrade)

Yeah and read Rallye's link for wiring info. Thats the one I was looking for when I put in mine. His wiring info is what I normally go by. :thumb:
