Hello DSM tuners, I recently bought a 2g talon and it didnt have no heat, at the time I figured it was just because it was low on coolant due to the leaking radiator end tank, the previous owner decided to put some stop leak in it

Anyway, I replaced the radiator, put a hose through the heater core for about 30 minutes and that didnt help, the thermostat didnt need to be replaced but I figured I might as well since I already had it out, of course that didnt help. So I used an infared thermometer and at the end of the heater hoses attaching to the Tstat housing I am getting 175 degree coolant, then toward the heater core I am getting 114 in and 71 degree temperatures out the other side.. the car warms up fine and doesnt overheat it just seems there is either a block in the lines or there isnt enough flow in the cooling system for the coolant to make it into the heater core.

Anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Did the water go through the heater core? If not it may be stopped up with stop leak. If the water came out the other end it might be the water pump.

Yes, the water was coming out nice and clean when I pulled the hose off. I am also pretty sure it is full of coolant, and the Tstat I got is a 180.
I guess I will take of the coolant cap and disconnect my heatercore line and open the hose in it to see if the hose itself is plugged, which I dont think it would be...

I am thinking it is the waterpump as well which sucks because I am not going to change it till its warm out :(

I have had trouble in the past with heater cores getting clogged. Cleaned them out and voila heat again.

Actually had a day off to look at it today, I pulled the heater core hoses off blew through them with a hose, hooked one back up with a hose in the other end and flushed the heater core for about an hour, then hooked everything back up and added some of my workplaces coolant flush, went for a drive and came home and dumped the radiator and flushed it all out with the hose again and finally got flow through my heatercore, which is great considering its going to be about 12 degree's tommorow morning.
