Replaced ecu still no start help!

Ok so I just put a new ecu in my 1990 eclipse GST the car cranks over but won't start I also didn't smell any fuel in the engine bay like I did before. I took the battery to Auto zone and they said the battery was fine. I checked the coil pack it was bad but then again this was when the old ecu was bad also I may recheck though to make sure. Please help me!

You could start by seeing if your getting power to the fuel pump. Check all your fuses. They are hidden everywhere.
 
The MPI relay Is a little gold box located towards the floor on the side of the center console before the radio and shitfer
 
will my fuel pump cut off if the ecu was messed with? i'm asking because i socketed my ecu and now the car wont start. i try to start the car with out the ecu and it turns over, then i put the ecu in and it also turns over both without starting.

at one point there was some clicking right under my shifter. im hoping there can be an easy fix without buying another ecu and socketing it(again).
 
there was a sensor that broke off it looked like a plug on a vacuum the rectangle shape with a hole at the end of it my friend found a metal connector at autozone that looked like the kind we can connect to that sensor. When I took a picture of it someone said it was like the heat sensor (or similar) I guess the ecu sees how hot the engine is?
 
If you suspect an ECU problem that first thing to do is watch the Check Engine Light when you first turn the ignition on. It should light up for five seconds or so and turn off. If you have a turbo car the boost gauge should also move to zero and hold there until you start cranking.

The ECU doesn't control the starter so you can crank the engine until the battery dies with the ECU out of the car. The ECU has to be running to get the engine to run.
 
yeah the ecu was in there the engine light was on for 5 seconds and the boost gauge went to 0 the old ecu was burned out smelled like fish and burned spot but when I checked the new ecu were the burn spot was there was a code next to it CI4 what does that control?
 
I pulled the ecu out before I burn the new one out also to add more info when I put the valve cover on not all of the valve cover bolts are in or torqued right some how I lost some of the bolts. :cry: :notgood:
 
Ok I was looking around the engine and theres a wire chopped up that I found in the radiator fan and I was following it and it leads to the alternator. The wire is yellowish white since it was in the radiator fan area it must hook up some where around that area I looked it up and the wires are generator wiring harness connector but I searched and could not find anything please help me where this wires hooks up to.
