Hey guys, I have been looking through a ton of different searches trying to figure this out, I hate to be that guy that asks the same question everyone else does but i'll try to describe this in depth. I bought this car about 2 months ago for about $400..its a '92 Laser AWD..When I bought the car it was just down the road from my house so I was just gonna' flat-tow it home. The car started right up..so I decided to let it run for a few minutes to warm it up so I had some brake vacuum and heat for the ride home..well it ran for about 5 minutes and it started to misfire alittle, and in about 10-15 seconds the car completely stalled out like it ran out of gas. The car hasn't started since. There is no spark on any cylinder, it is getting fuel because it stinks after cranking it for awhile. I'm not sure if the CEL is on? there is an orange light to the left of the cluster that looks like a old building..its on when I turn the key on and stays on while cranking. The boost gauge also flips up to 0 when I turn the key on.I did the ohmeter test for the CEL and I got a steady pulse which i interepted as the "system clear" code. I took the ecu out of the car and checked it out..it looks/smells fine to me. I replaced the plugs with brand new NGK's. I checked to see if the coil was putting out any spark which it isn't. I figured since there is two seperate coils that if one was bad, i'd assume it only be on 2 cylinders..so I'm leaning towards the ignition module under the coil or the cam angle sensor from what i've been reading. does anyone know how to "check" the ignition module? or the CAS for that matter?

I don't know if this helps but cas you will just have to replace as far as I know there is no way to test it. But the the power TR module (ignition module) can be tested at your local parts store.

Fixed it today, it was the Power TR module. Finally got one and installed it, fired right up. runs like a champ too.

CAS= Cam Angle Sensor
