the other day i hacked the maf just like it says in the fee mod forum....when i was done i took it around the block and ran it kind of hard..it felt great...i pulled up to a stop sign and noticed that a bunch of steam was coming from the hood so i pulled over and noticed that i was spraying coolant everywhere from the thermostat housing..i drove home real easy and parked it to let cool..i went out the next morning and tried to start it, it didn't want to start..but every time i turned the key it acted like it wanted to start more and more every time i tried to crank it....after about 10 cranks it started but didn't want to stay running..i kept dying..after about 5 more times starting it it finally stayed running so i thought it was something simple like a wet ignition or something, i didn't mess with it the rest or the day... i woke up to go to work this morning and the same problem happened..but after it got warmed up it started fine....any ideas?...please help

is coolant still pissing out of the thermostat housing? there might be a plug in your cooling system and it was looking for an exit... if its not coming out of the t-housing, are you still losing coolant?

yea its still leaking coolant from the housing but going to get a new gasket and fix it today...but why would a coolant leak give it trouble to start when its cold?...if it gives me trouble starting tomorrow morning i'll let you know

well it probably wont... but when it happened.. you started having problems. i would fix that first and see what happens. maybe coolant dripped on an exposed wire?? i dont know

Your starting problem is probably due to coolant/water getting into an electrical connection. Get it fixed ( the coolant part) and run the motor til it's warm enough to start evaporating fluids and hope it dries it up that way. Personally, i use an air blower on a large compressor to blow water and junk out of all teh hard to get areas.

got it all fixed, after i fixed the thermo housing i noticed the the water line to the turbo was pissing wright were the bracket is welded on. big pain in the ass, for those that have that happen to you cut the steel hose at the just past the bracket and run a steel braided hose too the thermo housing works real good and looks awsome everything should be steel braided
