Was driving car down interstate near my house and it just dies on me, wont start back up, and a jump start didn't do anything to help.

FYI this is on a 90 GST, i just replaced the t-belt, removed balance shafts, replaced hg with mls one, and did some other work like porting the turbo, i had driven the car the day before with no problems except for a small leak around the oilpan.

Anyways once i got the car back to my house, i checked all these things and they where all checked out ok:
timing marks lined up
fuel pump pumping fuel (heard walbro and felt fuel in fuel line)
spark from plug wires
ecu has no leaking caps
crank does rotate cam gears when i try to start the car
cas sends fuel & spark when hand rotated, and had 12v on red & 4.8-5v on white/yellow wires

I even tried testing my budies cas on my car and it still would not start the car.

The exhaust does occasionaly have a backfire to it, and i swore the night it broke down that I saw an exhaust puff come out of intake filter when friend was turning the key (thus why I was certian it had to be timing or cas).

I have no CELs related to ignition or fuel, the only CEL i have is for knock sensor and that is because the wire is broken from the harness connector (i have a new one in the mail from extremepsi).

If anyone has any good ideas on why i am still not getting the motor to turn over i would love to hear them.

Thanks

If its not your cas and none of your belts went the only thing that I could think of is that the timing belt jumped. Hope you find your problem bro seems like a doozy.

Well problem found, pulled valve cover off to find both exhaust cam rockers on #4 and one on #1 cylinder had fallen off.

Now what i am wondering is if this could happen from a valve somehow bending even though i can rotate the crank w/o any problems and the timing marks do line up, or is it more likely that the machine shop screwed up on step height or re-assembling the head

only way 2 tell is 2 take the head off but that could happen if they wern't tqed 2 sepc

That's not the only way.

Perform a leak down test. That will tell you if you have leaky valves or not - of course with the rockers re-installed. Chances are you have bent valves.
