Well I just got the new FWD Talon running! Bought it for 1300 bucks! Only thing wrong with it is who ever had it before me left the AFC harness in there. Once that was out it ran mint! Well plugs are fouled but that's about it.

Has a big 16G on it and its making a small pinging noise. I put the link in there and it smoked up a storm I think due to the link being chipped for 650's and there are 450's but had to get the car running to get the carputer on.

Did not smoke much with the stock ecu.

Took it around the block and got 0 boost. Broke up a bit but no boost gauge is hooked up at the moment. Kid mentioned turbo might be dead but not sure. No shaft play. Also no boost controller is hooked up. Kid put a vacuum line from the lower IC pipe directly to the wastegate. Not sure what that would cause it to do.

I think that's about it. 16G, stock fuel, Greddy FMIC, 3 inch turbo back, Few other small mods.

I put the link ECU in and the oil pressure went to the max at idle! Shut it down let it come down and did the same thing driving. What would cause this? I dumped a few quarts of 10-w40 in.

Car seemed to run fine there was no change in performance. Just forgot the spark plug socket at my garage so I'm done for the night

Few added notes dumped 2 quarts of 15 w40 in just for added messure. Sending unit does not seem stock will post a pic. Don't know the history on the sending unit. The stock sensor was disconnected when I bought the car.

The oil pressure sender may not be the stock one, if you get an autometer oil pressure sender that is made for their gauges, take the gauge out and then hook up the autometer sender to the stock wire, you won't get an accurate reading. Get an OEM oil pressure sender and see what oil pressure reading you get.

+1 on the oil pressure suggestion from DGajre777

That setup for the vac lines will not do anything. It sounds like he had an mbc that he removed and just direct routed the lines.

Or you might get the idea and get everything to what will work if there are too many mods.

EDIT: oooh, pics ;) Don't know what it looks like for a 2g, though.

Lol! No the pics are to see if anyone can tell me if that is aftermarket or not. Looks like it was replace at one point in time.

This isn't recommended anywhere. Adding more oil than what is specified by the manufacturer can cause strange things to happen. It can aireate the oil if the crankshaft balance weights are spinning in the oil. Aireated oil can cause bearing damage due to a lack of hydraulic pressure in the oil wedge. It can lead to increased oil consumption, lower MPG and overall poorer performance of the engine. I've seen a car overfilled to the point of hydraulic lock. They didn't know they weren't supposed to fill it to the top of the oil fill neck :p . I suggest removing the extra oil and filling the crankcase up to manufacturers specs. If you're still questioning how much oil pressure you are running. Go to your local autoparts store. Purchase a mechanical oil pressure guage and a guage install kit (if it's not supplied). It appears as though the stock oil pressure sensor is 1/8th pipe thread. If it is, remove it and install the guage. Bleed the line and run your car. You can keep your car in park and test the oil pressure at different rpm's and different temps. If that location dosen't allow you to place a manual guage in place of the OEM sensor, you will have to look and see where to install one. I'm at work right now and don't have any access to my resources. I hope this helps.

Awesome thank you. The reason for adding 2 quarts was it was extreamly low. Or so it was showing on the stick low.

Other thing is the stick is busted at the top so it just slides in real far so I was trying to measure it to stock height and it seems to be over filled now when mesured there. I am going to change the oil and see what difference it makes.

Also going to get a new sending unit!
