I have ruptured my 2nd OEM oil return line in less than a month... Does anyone have any suggestions? Do those SS lines work well? Can I heat wrap my line to prevent road debris from destroying it?

Ruptured? What kind of failure are we talking about here? I don't think there should be that much going under your car banging it up.

How are your motor mounts? maybe something is torquing it around

My mounts are okay. However, my oil pump sprocket is off 180 degrees so my motor does vibrate at +3k...

Okay, my friend (b00stedtalon2) gave me this advice: dremel the flex pipe off and put a rubber hose where the flex pipe used to be and clamp it on... Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

^

i was going to say just cut off the flex part and do exactly what was said LOL. i did that on my 2g when i put the 14b on caused it started leaking bad.

Lol. Nub question here but do you have to drain the oil when removing the oil return line? I just put fresh mobil1 in. Lord knows that shit is too expensive to leak or drain early and I am of course not going to dremel the return line when it is on the car because I enjoy not having my car catch on fire.

LOL yeah i didn't due to it was leaking to bad already when it cracked. catch what you can, i dont foresee you loosing more than a quart if nothing else. but i'd say 2quarts would be more than enough to refill to the normal level.

not so much catching on fire, than getting the metal flakes in the mixture with the oil.

Thanks for the advice and help guys. One last question. Am I going through return lines becuase of my oil pump sprocket being off?

A friend said it could be excess crank case pressure but my PCV valve has been removed because my valve cover cracked right where the threads are for the valve. I capped off the intake mani line and just let the hole VTA. I don't have a problem with shooting my dipstick (I used to because the rubber cork on my old one wore out. Changed it with a good dipstick and haven't shot that one out yet, even after going to the track!) So yeah, I really don't think I have too much crankcase pressure...
