 My car is running like CRAP!

It refuses to idle on its own it just dies, and whenver you try to rev it up it breaks up bad and blows black smoke like a diesel!

Yes, I've searched for hours, I've tried replacing the ECU, MAS, and the Fuel pressure regulator. Yes, I've done a leak down test and its holds pressure just fine. The car also has new plugs and wires and they are all in the right order aswell. I've also done a compression test and had good results.

The car is a 1990 Plymouth Laser Turbo.

boost leak test, then check the 02 sensor to make sure it doesnt think its at wot when at idle, had that happen on my dakota.

Had a similar problem when I first put mine together. It may sound stupid, but check your alternator. My car started fine, but had intermittent missing at idle, and would smoke and pop and do all sorts of weird things if you tried to touch the gas. Ended up being improper voltage supplied to various parts of the car due to a defected alternator. FFT.
