This is probably my 7th or 8th dsm and never have I ever ran into this problem. The car was running pretty good and one day it threw a Cel for a Mas. I have tried a few different mas and same thing, now I am not 100% sure they are good because the others are hacked.I had tried another ecu from a 90 just to see and the cel went away, my stock boost controller moved and it didnt studder at 3k. I tried another ecu from a 93 and my cel came back and all the problems came back. This has a few of my friends stumped. Not sure why the cel would go away with a 90 ecu....?
Car is a 93 awd tsi:confused:

I don't know if this will help, but it is what I would do. I would research the 2 different ecus, see if there is something that the newer ecu reads that the older one doesn't....if there is, that may be the problem.

Have you tried taking the MAS from a car that runs perfect and seeing if that fixes the problem? What made you choose to try a different ecu?
