I sat here for the last few hours reading all door lock posts and cant seem to find out the next step of what to do. My door locks will lock "both sides" but only the passenger will unlock when i go to press unlock button "no pulse on drivers side at all". I have an actuator that was hooked up before all this happened. So, i bought another actuator to see if that was the problem. Nope, The actuator works with power manually applied. So, next i check the relays that people talk about. One near factory alarm panel in back drivers side panel, and another under the factory radio toward the right side. I put brand new relays in both of them and still nothing. I checked all other fuses and they are good. Its only the drivers side and just the unlock part of it, while the passenger works to unlock and lock just fine. I did read in one of the posts they were saying that there were two relays under the radio on 95 Eclipse, making 3 relays for door locks total? If there is another one under there besides the one i stated above, please let me know. The other thing is, could it be that since all this crap runs through the factory alarm, that something inside the factory alarm went bad? I printed out wiring diagrams and everything, but im stuck on what to do next. I am so frustrated with this. I will paypal $10 to the person who has the right answer to fixing this. So, is there two relays under the dash then? Thanks for helping i tried all the threads.

Bugger.
Welp, the next part of the game is called "find the broken wire". And, it sucks.

It's most likely broken in the flexible section between the body and the door. There's a section of the wiring harness that goes into the door, from the body. It is covered by a flexible rubber boot.

Years of flexing when the door is opened and closed breaks the wires, strand by strand, untill one day one of the features controlled by switches in the door fails.

If one of the wires in the flexible section has broken, the best way I found to repair it is to add a new wire section. Splice one end inside the door, and the other end inside the car, that way the wire won't be too short, and your splice won't displace any other wires.

Good luck, and please let us know what fixes your problem for future searchers.

Thats what i thought it to end up being was a wire chasing thing for continuity, but never did it. I sold that car that it had the problem with. hopefully my GSX wont give me that problem. I couldnt stand that minor little thing with my ncar always bugged the crap out of me.

If anybody else is having issues like this, before you waste tons of time checking the wiring, check your relays! There are two to check, and it doesn't hurt to check them both, even if only one door is acting up.

The first one is behind the radio, and it's the large one (it was on the right on my car). This is the relay for the driver's door, and the only one you need to check if you don't have a factory keyless entry system.

If you do have a factory keyless entry system (even if you have an aftermarket alarm or don't use it; if in doubt, look for the box behind the drivers-side lower-rear interior panel), then there's another one you need to look at. It's located next to the keyless entry box.

It's pretty simple to pull the casings off of the relays, which actually have two smaller relays inside of them. Look for any bad solder joints or corrosion. If it all looks good, pop the case back on and take a look at the plugs, both on the relays and on the pigtail that plugs into them. Mine had a bent pin here that kept the passenger's door from unlocking (But locking worked fine). also check for anything missing (the plugs should be the same on both sides). Also look for any corrosion, or wires loos from the pigtail outwards.

If you've checked all this, then it's probably the actuator/latch itself, not the wiring. The motors will work fine both ways if the wiring is good; the relay just sends reverse voltage to reverse the actuator direction, so bad wiring will cause it not to work at all. If it does work one way, but not the other, it can't be the wiring.
