ecu help urgent

Right now it looks like that one has a short between the +5 and ground traces. It's somewhat unusual of C14 to short on it's own so I expect that C108 has leaked and caused C14 to short. It still looks like the board could be repaired but since I can't see the rest of it I can't say for sure.

If you decide to replace it you'll need a 90 ECU or you will have to modify the car or ECU to make both the ECU and tach work correctly. You can get the car to run with a 91-93 turbo MT ECU by releasing and swapping pins 6 and 14 in the ECU harness but the tach will act up.

In most cases getting the ECU fixed is more cost effective, unless it a real basket case, or you find a real good deal on a replacement.

that was the only part of the board that was damaged. there's a guy in town here that will do it for 225. he'll have it for 3 days. i found one in a junkyard for 400 and a 300 core charge. LOL brand new ranged from 600 to 1100(mitsu dealer)
