I posted about 2 weeks ago about fixing what I believe to be knock and didn't get much of a direct answer except to change my plugs and wires. I changed the plugs out for NGK BPR6ES's gapped to .028" but left the wires since they are relatively new. I would almost like to say it made things better for a day or two but it came back with full vengeance. I'm noticing a ton of loud ticking coming from what seems to sound like is coming from the injectors but I swung by the Mitsu dealership and had a tech listen to it and they told me it sounded like lifters. With the intentions I have for the car I figure I might as well go ahead and replace the stock injectors with bigger ones. I'm looking to make between 325-375hp. My question is what size injectors should I plan on using to meet the requirements of that level, will I need a better fuel pump while I'm running those injectors with the otherwise stock engine, and are larger injectors plug and play on a stock motor or do I need some sort of tuner for them? Thanks for your time! :dsm:

You may want to go with 650cc injectors to achieve those goals.

Also, your stock clutch won't like that power.

Just follow the upgrade path listed here.

Thanks for your replies but I think I may have been unclear about the purpose of this post. I've read the upgrade paths and all that. I too was thinking 550 but wasn't sure. The main question is if I go with bigger injectors do I need to upgrade anything else to make them work right while I still have a stock engine, turbo, etc.

You need a fuel controller such as DSMLINK, an SAFC/logger combo, or a MAFT/logger combo.

Your ECU is set up for 450cc injectors. If anything else is put in, it will run like crap unless the values are corrected.

You also should get a new fuel pump before you upgrade the injectors. I would get a rewired 190 for your goals. Also, to max out the E316G, you should look into 650cc injectors.

Thanks Diablo. I'm actually looking into the GReddy turbo upgrade kit with the TD05/18g turbo. Would the 16g be a better turbo choice than the GReddy hybrid?
I not sure what that kit includes(supporting mods) but my friend is tryin to do the same thing and all I can do is sit back and watch his hardheaded self slap a huge turbo on a stock car. I've told him COUNTLESS times that it's not a good idea. He says, he wants to get it out of the way...he's not a tooner either.
Take that 2000 and spend it on supporting mods that are listed in the upgrade path. I'm hopeing you already knew this and i'm talking out of my ass.
