ok, my 98 gsx has been running great until today,the car was parked and the alarm started to go crazy n stuff right! so i deactivated the alarm and now no matter what i do,i cant get any power throught the cat at all.no lights no nothing?
so i hooked up a batt charger,thought the battery was dead,well...even on the charger,no power anywhere?
is there a main fuse other than the black fuse box under the hood and under the dash? or could my ecu be fried somehow? im hoping its the alarm but???
just trying to get powr to roll up my windows? help please

Sounds like a blown fusible link in the harness coming off the positive terminal. Make sure you're not grounding out against the hood or a sway bar.
The alarm switch on either the hood or rear hatch may have come out of adjustment.

ok. it did ground out against the strut bar? but is not anymore,where would i look for a fusible link in the harness?

On the 98 GSX the fusable links are the colored fuses in the engine fusebox. Check all of them but you probably blew the 60A or 100A which are the 2 on the left. Also make sure your battery is tied down and a rubber insulator is on the positive terminal. You might also try unplugging the theft alarm unit harness.
