Really quick, sorry , i REALLY did a search on weatherstrip, sunroof, leak, and i read ALOT of the forums.

Well, anyways, so obviously , my sunroof is leaking. After it rains, i open my sunroof up in the morning and i see three little puddles. One in the middle, one on the far right, and one on the far left, all towards the back of my car, but right under where the back of the roof glass sits.

Anyways, I made sure my drain pipes are clear, i did both the compressed air method and the line method just to be sure and im good to go with that.

Im weatherstripping isnt exactly in best condition, but i sealed it 3 times so far, (removing each previous seal the next time i applied a new seal) and i tried 3 diff. products like the super adhesive weatherstripping silicon stuff and and clear stuff that suppose to leak in and fill up the spaces where water can get it.

Anyways, i do alot of water tests on my own and whenever i finish, i dont see any water where i would when it rains and its driving me crazy!!!!! Water used to pour into my cabin each stop or as i drive and my passengers always yell at me (= .. so i recently put some towels up there. When ever it rains the towels get soaked, but at least im dry.

I'm about to replace the weatherstripping just to be sure, but it just doesnt seem to be the problem and i already checked the drain pipes. The other places Defiant listed in the forum seem to be applied to other leaks for the hatch and such (and if they did apply to the roof, im REALLY sorry for posting, but i really thought the drain pipes and the strip are the only roof access)

Anyone want to take a stab at it? Thankss

Yeah, mine is doing the same thing on the pass. side, however it's not puddles, and it only drips after braking hard...haha. I've learned to deal with it until I find a solution. But as for you, is your car a 1g or 2g? I've had so many problems with my 2g sunroof, which by the way never leaked until i took the glass off and fixed and alignment problem I was having. On this note, have you tried taking off the glass and making sure the torx (on a 2...dont know about 1g) bolts are all tight? When that glass moves, it allows water to sit in a certain valley area (not much like your puddles would suggest) and then eventually drip in after a sharp turn or braking.
Sorry if it's not much help, but if that doesnt work, your weatherstripping idea might be the best way to go.

Mine's like that on a heavy downpour. Thank goodness I live in Socal and we hardly see rain here.

When that happens, I want to set my car on fire. LOL But on a nice sunny day, I love my car again. I know I should work on it one of these days - that and my antenna. I owned my car 6 years and these are the only problems that I had so far.

I had a leaky sunroof and it turns out that rain was pooling in the front right corner and it rusted a whole right through the frame. Maybe something to look into for you guys with leaks.

i have a 2g. yeah, i double checked everything, and i gave up . LOL. actually, i JUST won an auction on ebay for a whole new assembly ( i needed the slider panel, and i was thinking of replacing the glass again anyways, so this saves me money) . so i guess i'll see where it goes from here?
