Hey guys, i have a question. Since i am in the military i make plenty of long trips. I have dealed with the problem over the years but i am really starting to get annoyed. Well when i am on the Highway for a long period of time and go to get off, i go to push in the clutch to find a really low disengagement. Then by the time i get to the gas station my car starts shifting better. After i stop and get gas and start to hope on the highway it is perfectly fine until i am on the road for a period of time again. I have read plenty of post saying it can be anywhere from a spring on the pedal, master cylinder, to slave, to throw out bearing. Now i am fine with trying to chase the problem, but i am not fine with driving 3 hours just to diagnose the problem and see if i fixed it. I also have a slight audible and can feel a click in my clutch pedal. This only happens, when car is off, start ups, and here and there, not all the time. So is it most likely my master cylinder? I will post what fixes do to the fact on the post that described my problem, didnt have a finished result..

Only DSM's have never ending problems, but still whip the F:p out of everything

Ohhh I promise you are wrong there. LOL

Honestly man, like you said, it could be a ton of different things giving you this kind of feedback. How old is the clutch? Is it stock? How many miles?

Its the stock clutch though replaced at 90k with the tranny, it was part of the deal when i got the car, that they had to replace the tranny and clutch and it was verified that they were so the clutch has about 20k on it. Oh i know that i was wrong about the only ones with never ending but we are the only ones that whip the sh:beatentodeath: out of them with the problems

I would check the fluid line going to the clutch, maybe bleed the clutch release cylinder. Also check the clutch hose, most of it is metal, but there is a rubber part- it may be heating up and expanding so that you lose some pressure there.

replace your slave before the master:
1. it is cheaper
2. it is easier to replace

if that does not fix it then go to the master. Also most of the time you will have a leak near the pedals since that is where you access part of the master clutch cylinder
