Ok, EVEN at half throttle it happens. My car will pull hard 2/5 times I get on it. The other times it just doesn't go 100% or even 70% or I hit fuel cut. I even sometimes hit fuel cut at half throttle (sometimes). It does it the same hot or cold, dont matter. Heres what Ive done to address the problem so far (for all you trying to get a quick buck)

1.) 2 new fuel filters
2.) 16 lash lifters (just encase knock sensor was picking them up)
3.) Boost leak test 20 psi held for 20 seconds, but it all came out of oil fill cap and breather vent on valve cover.
4.) Compression test 178-180 across the board
5.) Ohm-ed coil...fine
6.) Cleaned MAF...nothing
7.) New bpr6s or whatever they are gapped .28 with new wires.
8.) I'm NOT venting (pic shows I am)
9.) Cleaned inter-cooler
10.) fuel pressure returned to stock (was up 3-4 psi with the regulator)
11.) new tps

OK guys goto town, you tell me whats wrong and ill pay-pal you 4 bucks :thumb:
I'm not paying people to tell me, I am closing my palpay account and there is like 4.13 left in it. :D

Im dont make much money, I have 100 bucks saved for one, so almost. I know that one would tell me whats going on with my timing or something.

Have you actually checked the knock sensor itself? If there's goo coming out of it, it's fried and needs to be replaced. It's on the back of the block under the intake mani.

How about an actuator that's on its way out? That would cause the symptoms you're experiencing.

I forgot my gauge reads fine, but how do i check that? do i just buy a new one?:thumb:

Ok I got my car scanned and it says theres nothing wrong(no codes) I bought a new battery and it did nothing, im going to put a timing belt on tomorrow. Oh and I vacum tested my actuator and it held good, could it still be messed up?

My GSX does somthing smillar but its bogging not hittin fuel cut i havent replaced the fuel filter yet but thats what i think my problem is. But yeah i know how you feel its been bogging for a long time.hahaha

you gotta feel the back of the sensor. you wont be able to really see it. if the goo stuff is gone, it's bad. if you're tight on money like i was, just put some layers of electrical tape on the back of the sensor and that should get rid of some knock until you can afford a new one.

I checked the location of the knock sensor, but I cant find it. Wouldn't I be getting a CEIL if it was bad anyways? I have to reach my hand for it? Just tell me exactly what I have to do and ill do it, thanks :thumb:

You wont get a CEL from it. A couple months after I got my car, I had no idea what was causing my car to bog down either. It's located on the back of the block. It's kind of a PITA to get to because, chances are, there's a vacuum line bracket on the back of your intake manifold and it's behind (or just a little bit lower) that. the best way i found to get to it is to remove the battery and reach down from the passenger side. Defiant posted a pic in this thread to show where it is:

Just touch the back of it and let us know if the back of it feels like metal or gooey plastic.

How is your o2 sensor? Mine is dying and it's making my car run rich and bog down really bad anytime i hit the gas hard at all.

I was experiancing the same problem. Done boost leak test like 20 times. And it held good but it would slowly drop. And i found my problem to be the throttle body o-rings. Couldnt hear them but sprayed soapy water on the tps and wa-la bubbles. Fixed them and now it runs fine til something else messes up. Also you said you had the fuel pressure turned up you may be expericeing rich knock. If you know someone that has a logger borrow it and see if you are getting knock.

Thanks Bro, Ill do that. Whoever asked about the plugs and wires, read the top of the thread:thumb: I have a narrow-band gauge, it read super rich whenever I hit the gas hard. That could mean the oxygen sensor? Ill check the knock sensor tomarrrow. thanks again.
