all of a sudden my 1g awd eclipse decided it was gonna start to build pressure in the valve cover, so now there is smoke and other stuff pouring out of the breather hose that is connected to the valve cover.. i replace the pcv and tested the vacumme line to be sure it was sucking like it supposed to but i am just way confused and need help

first of all thanks for the advice guys, i'm new to this dsm site and am not 100%on working everything but anyways...

i did the compression test.... not to good,
here are the results

cylinder/psi

1/70psi
2/130psi
3/110psi
4/135psi

so with that i suppose its a problem in the bottem end.
i dont beleive its a valve problem because the cylinders held the psi, but then again i'm a newbie... hahaha
thanks

A good way to determine if it's rings or valves is to do as BOBS90TURBO suggested. Immediately after doing the compression test on a cylinder, pour a capful of motor oil into the combustion chamber through the spark plug well, then repeat the test. If the compression goes up in the cylinder, it's the piston rings; if not, it's likely the valves or a blown head gasket.
