I tested my sensor-Good.....I tested my harness-Good..........I start the engine, and for the brief idle I had, using a voltmeter I read a Cam Sensor error code. I know the proper procedure is replacement, but due to a lack of funds, is not available at this time.

My situation with this car is unique, therefore, the most direct communication might be needed. Information that I need for this car is not included in the Chilton's book. I have taken over a project car and nothing of the process that was taken I know, besides what I can identify myself. As of now, the Cam Sensor problem is the only deal holding me back from driving it for the first time. Thank you for time.

Did you align the marks on the cas according to the manual? Bring cyl #1 to tdc on the compression stroke. Now, remove the cas and see if the notch on the drive gear points to the dot on the housing. If not, turn it 180*, reinstall, crank engine and set ignition timing.

You can see the marks clearly in this pic.

I installed the sensor after i timed it, and nothing.........but you said to flip it right? Well i am guessing that the kid that had the car before me heard the same thing. I think he flipped the disc inside the sensor, i flipped that around, and the car started like a champ, first time i have had it start and run for a minute since i have had it. thank you very much for your input....i am not done yet, got lots more work to do, y'all be hearin from me......
