All right. i have a nearly stock car with a CEL. When I bought my car the logger worked, and the CEL was for a knock sensor. Since then the logger died and lost its software.

Since then:
e316g
gt manifold
2g 92 housing
new knock sensor
rewired for 91 up ecu

My main question is, why does mmcd freeze when i try to use it on my car? Could someone give me step by step directions to use mmcd?

Once i get that working, my question will probably be: why do I still have a knock sensor CEL?!?

(other mods include safc, 255hp, afpr, exhaust, and the neccesary guages.)

btw i run a solid 9psi only.

interesting. i will attempt to do this. i have a zire 71; so if anyone has some experience with this i would love to hear it.

thanks

allright so I found the options for what type of connection and what bit rate. I set it to connect to pc and i lowered the bitrate from 115,000bps to 50,000bps. I'm not sure what speed it should be, I assume what ever speen our computers run at; but im not sure what that is either.

On my old pocket logger I could run a test to see what the max bit rate could be. It would send packets of info back and forth from the ecu to the palm til it started to throw errors, then you knew that that was the fastest it could log data.

I havnt figured out how to run any tests yet. it still doesnt work at 50kbps. so im going to keep trying.

it's been so long since the logger worked the information it finally gives me is going to be foreign.
