while driving my car has recently started to cut off if i just push in the clutch and hold it. if i am going 45-50 mph it just stumbles and comes back, but if i am slowing down to a stop or to take a turn the car cuts off. it will restart by letting out the clutch while still moving or i can turn the key and restart the car. i thought it was my injector pulse going to zero but there is also my mafs numbers go to 0hz also. if i am not clear enough just ask and i will clarify anything that i can. thanks.

Does your car idle up when you turn on the AC?
Does the cruise control work?
Can you check the IPS?

These questions help decide if your idle speed control circuit is working. The ECU needs to see the throttle close (IPS) while the car is still moving (VSS) for it to provide extra bypass air (ISC) to keep the engine idling.

no ac. have not tried cruise. mechanic friend of mine who is not familliar with these cars said there is something wrong because when i turn my steering wheel all the way the rpm do not adjust for the powersteering pump. also my biss screw is turned in all the way down. so does this mean i have a bad isc motor? or a bad ips?

Sounds like you could have several problems. The BISS all the way in implies that you have air leaks somewhere or the ISC is dead and stuck all the way out or both.

The ISC motor is part of the ISC system. If any of the coils in the ISC short then it takes out the driver on the ECU. It also doesn't help that one of the ISC traces runs under one of the leaking caps on a 1G ECU so even with a good ISC motor it's possible for it not to work.

What's your normal idle speed? If it's not 750 when up to temp that would be another big clue you have problems.

did a boost leak test and found the air leak. the cyclone intake on my car had cracks in all of the runners right behind the flange where it bolts to the head. will be putting on my old intake and hope that fixes the problem.

If you are just referring to the gaskets, JNZTuning.com is the only place I know of that sells the JDM Cyclone intake manifold gaskets.
