Hard Start

Ok, the motor was rebuilt about 23k ago, and had a compression check done about 10k ago which came out at 160 across. However lately, the car seems to be having trouble starting. It takes like 5-10 seconds of cranking to start. If I crank it for a few seconds, then stop and try again, it always starts up. The car has never not started, it just takes a little work. I haven't noticed anything different performance wise, and my logger hasnt read anything different either. The car will also start right up if it has been running and I just shut it off as well. Any ideas?

Check the timing and the cam sensor.

The Base Timing is still 5 Degrees according to the logger. How would I go about checking the CAS? Just making sure its bolted tightly?
