i just installed a new clutch, tob, and slave cylinder. my flywheel was machined and stepped.

problem is i can still hear the tob pretty loudly at idle, and worst of all i am still have trouble shifting. i grind evertime i downshift into second. sometime when i upshift. also it is usually hard to get into first. i need to move the shifter from neutral to first a cople times before it goes into gear.

i am lost. i just replaced everything and i still have problems. i cant handle dsms anymore.

Although DSMs are prone to problems, this is not a problem that is caused because you have a DSM. Dont blame the poor car;) I had a problem like this. First of all, Did you bleed the clutch line properly. If not, do that and see if it helps. If it doesnt help, and this may seem like a half a** fix but it did wonders for my car, replace the shaft in the slave with a drill bit about the same width but slightly longer. My car wouldnt go into any gear at all after my install because the rod on the slave wasnt pushing the arm attached to the TOB far enough to disengage the clutch. After replacing the rod with a drill bit about 2 cm longer, the car drover great and i havent had any problem for about 10k miles. It may or may not work for your car but im just giving you an idea to try.

yah i had the same problem with the same solution i got a longer slave cylinder rod off of slowboyracing.com
