I used just penzoil syncromesh in my built tranny from dsm graveyard and its leaking, can i add a thicker oil to keep it from leaking? Its leaking from where the bell housing bolts to the main transmission

yes its not leaking from there, its leaking from the halfway point where the bellhousing bolts to the rest of the tranny. the builder used permatex to seal er up

First things first read the rules. In the rules it clearly states no bumping.

Second try and actually fix the problem instead putting a bandiad on it. It if leaks fix the leak. You could put sand in it and that won't leak out but that just won't work.

If it was rebuilt and doesn't work then have that person fix what they did wrong. In the end you, or someone, needs to reseal that junction so it doesn't leak.
