So, just put my evo 3gt in. Drove it around for about 500 miles, and now I can't figure this out. I smoke under acceleration, from about 4500 on IF I'm boosting. Under normal conditions I don't smoke.

Here's the info...

-New NGK6ES plugs
-New coilpack
-OLD Plug wires/stock from 6bolt
-New Evo 3gt, primed properly after install.
-No oil in downpipe at all.
-Small amounts of oil in LICP, but barely covers the inside.
-No boost leaks from LICP on. Haven't checked from the turbo inlet because its a really tight fit, so I'll see if I can get a longer connector.
-Leaking a very small amount of oil, but I'm not sure where.
-Oil was replaced less than 500 miles ago.
-Once it starts smoking, it'll keep smoking @ idle and under boost occasionally. Normal non-boosting driving is smoke free.
-New rear O2 sensor.
-Only getting about 14 MPG city even when not boosting.

I haven't done a compression test or anything yet, just looking for suggestions. Could it be my spark plug wires maybe? I have MSD 8.5's coming Tuesday. Bad injectors? I have a CEL that I'm going to figure out on my way home. Any ideas?

Ok, I just got the CEL checked... Code P0300, Multiple cylinder misfire. Since I have a 6 bolt motor, could it be the spark plug wires are put in wrong at some point? I know the normal 4231 firing order doesn't work, because of the splicing of the coilpack to work, and the CAS has a harness from buschur racing that is properly wired. Time to search for P0300 fixes.

14mpg usualy means a bad O2 sensor...and DOUBLE chk the CAS harness!
cyl misfire could be caused by spark plugs and wires, Intake man vaccum leak of some sort, colgged cat converter...
When my T25 started smoking the turbo was almost dead..
I would def chk compression too...I hope you didn't boos the crap out of your engine :)
good luck !

PS: I don't know abt your coilpack changes that you made, and I don't understand why won't 4231 firing order won't work?? BUT def something is messed up there.
One of the basic rules: NEVER use used plug wires! period!

Well, new spark plug wires and the problems are still there.

I'm going to run a compression check soon... hopefully it's stupid shit I don't have to replace... like a motor.

Alright, rule boost leaks out. I have NONE. Tested from the turbo inlet, and held 15psi with no problem.

My oil return line for my turbo was kinked, so I cut the line shorter and put it back on.

My coolant return line was slipping off and leaking, which *probably* caused the white smoke (coolant hitting a hot turbo, burns white), which would explain all the white smoke. That, and there was a small oil leak from my block, turned out being a bolt that was loose, which blocked off the end of an oil feed line or something (bolt below valve cover, far left of block).

Haven't taken car out since I fixed both of those, because my gasket from exhaust manifold to compressor housing broke in half, hence the horrible exhaust leak. Getting a new gasket tomorrow.
