Ok i bought a logger and set it all up nad got it working and then i went for a drive to record the fisrt log and everything wnet great i have the log saved on the Palm but i cant get it to upload on the desktop. I have hte Palm N Stein logging software and i wet there website to get the program to put it on the computer but i cant open it on my computer any help would be great.

Yes iam able to but i cant get the program for palm n stein to open so i can transfer back to the computer.

These are the instructions that came withthe logger

Palm'n'Stein

To install, use the Palm Desktop to install the following files
from the CD-ROM:

PNStein.prc
Reg.pdb

In addition, 2g owners should install the DTC library found in
the file Dtc.pdb

To run the logger:

1) Take the guided tour:

http://206.124.12.138/codsm/tunerstein/webpage/4.1/palm'n'stein.html

2) Choose Palm'n'Stein from the menu

3) At this point, make sure you have taken the guided tour!

4) Connect the Palm to the logger cable/interface, and then
plug the adapter into the interface under the dash.

5) Start the car.

6) Press "F1". In a few seconds, logging will begin. If the Palm
is not connected properly, you will get an error message. Resolve
the problem and press "F1" again.

During logging, you may press pause. No items will be written to the
log file while you are "paused", and charting will stop. To resume
logging, press "F1" again.

Press "Stop" when you are done logging. You can then save or discard
the file.

7) To play back, press f4. Select a log file and press f2. Use the buttons
at the bottom to play the file. If you touch a point on the chart,
data value for that point will be displayed on the right.

8) You may delete (but not rename) log files.

9) To transfer the file to a desktop/laptop system, you must have
the Tunerstein Player component installed on the p/c.

Run the Player
Run Palm'n'Stein
Connect the Palm to the P/C using the SERIAL sync cable. A USB Sync
WILL NOT work!
On the Palm, press F4
Select the log file to transfer
On the P/C, click the green Palm'n'Stein button and follow the
instructions.

Please direct any questions to [email protected]

And have no response from there email

I never used palmstein, i had pocketlogger and all i had to do was use the hotsync manager from the palm desktop software to transfer the log. And then i used a program to view the log. They are saying that you need the palmstein prog for the transfer itself so i can't really help you.

I'm sure somebody who uses palmstein will come across this thread and help you.

Good luck

Well tried transfering it throught palm desktop but i couldent figure uot how to transfer anything from the palm to the computer i could only figure uot how to load stuff on the palm from the desktop:(

You just have to hotsync it using hotsync manager and it saves the stuff directly if you saved it (at least it did with pocketlogger). And you have to find the folder in which it saves the stuff. It might not be the way palmstein works but it's worth a try.

Any body here know how to load a log from the palm to the computer with palm n stein logger????????????????
