Alright... I'll explain to you what's happening.

Yesterday my car was running great. Held 18lbs of boost no problem. i was driving to go see the midnight showing of x-men 3 LOL and just as i was about a half of a mile away the started to misfire pretty bad. I couldn't rev past 4500 rpms at all. So i parked it and i didn't have time to check it out ### i needed to hurry and get inside. Then after the movie I was showing my car to my friend and we were checking it out to see what was going on. I thought I was just running really rich at first like my pipe got disconnected after the maf. But I was wrong. So i managed to drive it home and it was still being VERY boggy and missing like crazy. But I got it home no problem. Well, I didn't have time to check it out today and i needed to just drive it a mile or so to work. I didn't even get a half of a block away and it died. I have not been able to start it since. I know I have spark and I can hear my fuel pump running. It got too dark and I don't have a good enough light to fully check to make sure fuel is going into the cylinders. I was able to check all the main fuses like the mpi and all that and they were all good.

Based on that info, can anyone give me any good suggestions on what to look for? I know it's still pretty vague but if you have any ideas at all, lemme know.

Don't make assumptions, this is what I would do in the sequence given.

1. Before you crank the motor anymore, make sure the timing belt is still there and all the marks are still lined up.

2. Test for spark.

3. Test for fuel.

4. Compression test.

5. Check your coolant temperature sensor.

Make sure that the ECU is running. The check engine light will come on for 5 seconds and then turn off and the boost gauge will move to 0. If these don't happen then the ECU isn't running and the car won't start no matter what else you do.

dang you guys always beat me to it.. sounds like you may have skipped a tooth or two last night and today it slid away.. have you recently had a shop redo your t-belt? a lot of times the tensioner can relax and cause you to skip teeth..

as the old man said.. check your timeing at both the crank and cam gear's just because the gears line up dont assume the crank is.. CHECK IT! then go from there..

how do i know if the timing belt is positioned right? I got no problem taking off my timing cover... but will i be able to tell just by that? and how?

okay and here's something else... i don't believe my fuel pump comes on when i just turn the ignition to the on position... i don't think it ever has but ir eally never listened for it until this hpapened. Is it ALWAYS supposed to go on for about a second or so or does it only do it sometimes? because yesterday when i was diagnosing it... i could hear and feel the fuel pump on when i had my buddy try to start it, but it had never come on when it was just in the run position. is that normal?
