Heres my problem, Ok well i have read alot about a couple companies and their clutch kits...im here to as for opinions and FACTs on certain clutches and make everyones "thinking decisions" easier when searching for clutch purchase...

Ok well its time to upgrade to a bigger clutch, because the stocker has seen better days...I seached threw LOTS of pages upon pages of different clutches and have came to the conclusion that the SBR 3500 seems to be your best bet due to:

1: ACT clutches have some cases of spring failure

2: ACT street disc has been known not to cover everyones conditons and prematurely fail.

and so on so on...

Well i called SBR to get it and they said its on back order...for a long while, so damn i back to stage 1, i was talking to someone else that mensioned they could get me a deal on a new ACT 2600 6 puck springLESS clutch, this is my next idea i guess? anyone running it like it? rough engagement from a stop? slipping harder to do? whats the disc made out of? life? and does only 3 rivits matter?

ok also i have heard about the SPEC 2's not having as heavy of a pedal, but how does it compare to life? spring failure? launching? chatter?

And finally a local shop really pushes for people to get these ZOOM performance clutch kits? anyone EVER heard of them before? any good? he said it has the best of both worlds, its a 4 puck for extra grab, but its springed so take off's arent a bi***? any word on them? im so confused maybe this thread will clear it up for alot of people...thanks guys..

The ACT2600 with a street disc is a proven winner. I have run many of these clutches with nothing but great results. I say dont try and re invent the wheel, rock what works. I have used the SBR3500 I will not get into specifics but I have had less than favorable results with it and went back to ACT with no regrets. Hope this help you in your decision.

Zoom's are crap, a friend of mine with an 03-04 cobra blew one up in 100-200 miles not even driving hard. the clutch material just fell apart destroyed the stock flywheel and the purple z00m pressure plate. was pretty nasty, fortunately the company bought him a fidanza flywheel and provided him with a much better disc/pressure plate from another company. not exactly sure what he ended up with.

If your not making a ton of power I say get the Act2100. I loved mine. I put over 65k miles on it before I removed it and replaced it with the sbr3500. My first sbr3500 lasted 5000 miles and then started popping springs. I now have a newer sbr3500 and it's ok so far but I thought the act2100 was a more predictable clutch. One little slip on the 3500 and the thing seems to heat up and not grab the same for the next 15 minutes.

I've got a Spec Stage 3 and I like it. It has the same pressure plate as the stage 2, just a different disc. Pedal pressure is very light, comparable to stock and very easy to get used to. I've driven a car with a 2600 and it seems much stiffer, but not unbearable. The Spec holds power just fine and I've been using it for about 6-7k miles. Granted I'm still around stock boost levels though. I've launched it a few times and it grabs hard. The engagement takes some getting used to as it's a puck style (6 puck) clutch and is pretty grabby taking off in first. It also chatters a little bit on deceleration, but that can be fixed with just putting the car in neutral and coasting. I've noticed it's gotten better about it as of late though, so maybe it just takes some time. Sorry I can't help much for the stage 2, but I figured this may help a little.

EDIT: My car is a DD also.
