I just rebuilt my bottom end with the block bored .20 over and a stock crank (not cut), eagle rods, ross racing pistons, new bearings arp main and rod studs/bolts,and eliminated balance shafts...

now i just started it up for the first time today and it sounds and runs great pulls 20 inches of vaccum doesn't smoke or anything, but the stock oil pressure gauge(I know i need an aftermarket one) shows really really low oil pressure at idle like at the "L" line and at 3000 RPMS it doesn't even reach the half mark on the gauge....

***THERE ISN'T ANY SOUNDS AT ALL COMING FROM THE MOTOR NO TICKS OR TAPS OR KNOCKS... NOTHING IT SOUNDS AND RUNS PERFECT BUT THE OIL PRESSURE PROBLEM***:talon:

sounds to me like a bad sendin unit but i wouldnt drive that car until i got a manual oil pressure gauge on it just to make sure

Did you rotate the front balance shaft bearings 180* to block off the oil passages? If they're not blocked, you'll have the same oil pressure symptoms you just described.

yes i did block off the balance shaft galleys... thanks tho

anymore suggestions to check on???
