Alright kiddies, i recently did a small fuel system upgrade on my 92tsi A/T. I put in 450cc injectors cleaned by RC, and a manual trans ecu. The car ran fantastic! No more idle problems, holding right solid around 750-800 (depending on engine temp). I then installed a Dejon intake, and uicp, and again the car felt amazing, pulled hard and idled like a freekin champ. But now all of a sudden driving on the highway today (74mph at 3300rpm) she started to hesitate. No drop in rpm, but a definate loss in power. I havn't gotten the logger to pick it up yet, but everything else on it looks good so far (although for some reason after the logger install i lost cruise control). I'm thinking maybe it's a knock sensor, but i havn't had a chance to boost leak test it. I've also got Accel's to put in, i just need to get some bpr6es's. (last time i pulled them they were pretty white because without the 450's i was running real lean).

Anyone else have this happen? or know what could be going on? The couple other things i was thinking maybe is bad fuel filter, and or bad tank of gas (we've had very weird warm cold warm cold weather).

thanks in advance!

Update, if anyone even cares.

My o2 sensor is reading great, and after a fillup and some injector cleaner it hasn't hesitated again. She's rock solid. My best guess is bad gas.

But i didn't get some interesting logs. At one point while i was logging i came to a stop at a sign and noticed that i had just knocked. BAD. About 220 counts, but just a blip, then it was gone. WTF? I have no idea why it would do this.

Also, i don't know much about timing since i just started logging. But at idle (car in drive) I'm reading about -2* timing. (when i turn off the car it reads as -5*) But while cruising at any speed, im reading about +27* timing. Is this normal?

I realize these questions should be in the tuning category, but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my weird hesitation, or if this another problem that needs adressing.

That's what my logger reads as well for timing. I was a little confused because it was saying I was only getting 2 degrees of advance timing at 5000rpm, WOT. After importing the logs into ms excel, it had completely different numbers for timing, which looked normal. I'm not sure if what MMCD is logging is in degrees or not.

im going to try a full pull after i do my fuel filter and elim the evap canister. I might also attempt to throw in my walbor 190 to see if maybe that helps feed my 450's a little better. I'm going to have to have my mechanic break the fitting loose though, because i can't. . . AT ALL.
