Hey, I finally got my talon all setup and put back together, and when I went out to start it and drive it I noticed some problems. The first problem is that when the car has be sitting (ie overnight) it will crank and crank and crank and just not fire. All I have to do is pull the UIC pipe and spray one quick shot of starting fluid into the TB. The next problem is once it starts running, the car idles at 450rpms. Im not sure if its just the stock tach being off or what, but the car doesn't want to idle unless I hold it at about 1500rpms for about 10 seconds and then smoothly return it to idle. Im thinking this could be due to a fuel pump going bad, or old injectors maybe?
The car has a 6 puck clutch, and after it sits and warms up, the idle will bounce just slightly when your trying to take off, which can make it rather difficult with the on/off feeling of the clutch. Once you get moving, everything sounds great (except for a little belt squeel, which is simply a matter or re-tensioning it) but the car will NOT rev over 4200rpms. As soon as it hits 4200 it shudders hard and dies. It can be easily started again, but it really concerns me. The final problem (so far) is when your accelerating to about 3k and push the clutch in, the rpms will drop off and the car will die. Please help me get these things fixed. Thanks
