Well the balancer belt snapped and im doing a rebuilt as we speak. Having everything machined at the shop. The only problem I am running into is the intake camshaft.
That was the side where all the pistons said hello to the vavles (bent vavles). The exhaust side was all ok. But while removing the camshafts, I knoticed that the grinds were pretty tore up from hitting all the rockers. I took it to the machine shop and he said to get it replaced.
One shop said to just get a used one...and if so, do i replace just the intake camshaft or both? and should I get 1g cams or 2g cams?
In a sense, I was looking into getting new ones since everything is getting rebuild might as well make everything fresh. I was looking into Fp2's but with my stock turbo...will this be over kill?
