:toobad: yeah first off id like to say hi to the dsm community and also im new to the boards. today i installed an oem coil pack and now the car will turn over but will not start. I checked my connections at the coil pack, transistor and the plug wires to the pack. The battery is fully charged and my fuel pressure is 27 psi my fuses are good also. The car was running i went to the dealer and picked up the coil pack i came home let the motor cool off a bit and now it wont start. is it possible that the transistor (never been changed) could go out putting a fresh oem coil pack on? My car is completely stock 94 gst

okay i went ahead and put the old coil pack back on the car and the car fired right up so could it be a bad oem coil or that the transistor is to weak to fire the coil. any help would be appreciated.

well today i checked the resistance on the new oem coil and primary read 0 and the secondary is within spec. I went ahead and ordered the power transistor just to have both new. The dealer is also shipping me out another coil as well. How common is it or has anyone here had a defective oem coil.
