Ok so i wanted to powder coat my motor mounts one day and since 1 was broken i decided to just get a prothane kit ($50) from a local shop. Pretty good deal couldn't pass that up. The problem is all mounts except the rear are the same, the insert is to small, an auto awd mount is bigger than a 5speed awd mount. I slid my friends 5speed mount in and it seemed that all i would need to do is shim the bracket away from the block 1/4 inch or shim the other half up about 1/4inch. So now to the question, are the n/t 5sp mounts the same as turbo 5sp mounts? If so i can get one locally, if not i will need to get one off line. I'd rather not put a stock mount in since i have prothane. By the way i made a couple passes up the road and these mounts are stiff, you feel everthing but i can live with it. Thanks for your help.
