im doing a 1g swap into my 2g and doing a decent amount of work to the head. i was wondering were i would get more power and benifits for my money, either purchasing a big 16g turbo kit or putting a sroker kit into the bottom end. im not sure which direction to head first but DSMlink is definately going to be on order as well.

well if you want a stroker kit then your gonna want a larger turbo. Usually a 14b and 16g will run out of steam fast with that extra displacement. I mean they already run out of steam on a 2.0L around upper 20s. I would get an EVO3 if you wanna stick with a 16g for a stroker. turbochargers.com had one on a 2.3 car I think and made 400whp so it might work still.

you have to decide if you want results now or later...if you stroke it now the motor will be solid and will hold up to better mods in the long run,If you go for the bigger turbo now then the bottom end will be weak and you run the risk of blowing the motor and then you get to sit and look at that new turbo while you rebuild the motor...I would stroke it first and then the mods(build a solid foundation first).

am i going to see any decent power gains with the stroker? what are you suggestions on the next step after the stroker kit?

Just 'cause you build a "Stroker" does not mean you make a stronger motor. You could use OEM Mitsu. parts to build this Stroker and it would be no stronger than your stock 2.0L. This is more of an opinion based decision. As for me, I'd rather have the revs instead of displacement.
