Niagara,
I just bought a DC front strut for my 97 Talon n/t. The bar doesnt fit for some reaon. It doesn't line up with the holes, and it seems to be about 2 inches too big. Can anyone help me out? Maybe I'm installing it wrong? The generic strut I had on before went on like butter, but this one is giving me a problem. Can anyone help me out? Maybe someone had it on their car and theres some steps I'm missing. I read the instructions, and that didn't help either. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I saw the pics. This guy isnt bullshiting. It was such a beautful black gsx:cry:

Thats horrible man, maybe I should just sell mine when I get it. I'll see how it fits up and if its anywhere close to the battery, I'm taking it off. Do you still have the pics, I want to see it, it sounds pretty interesting. Did you talk to DC about it or anything?

No man, I figured out what the problem was. DC sent me a strut for a Neon SRT. The product numbers are pretty close, so it must have got mixed up. 1101 got mixed up with 1001. Its all worked out. I'd like to see pics of this burnt DC strut, I don't know if I want to put it in my car if this can happen.

Just use the BATTERY TIE DOWN. They put them on your cars for a reason, and arnt 2nd gens side post anyway?

What do you mean by "use the battery tie down"?

Mitsu - Thats a great car to have to watch go. That car was mint. Hopefully if I go with this strut bar, I wont have the same problem, my car is N/T so maybe I'll have more room. Why didn't you contact DC or AEM and let them know what happened?
