So I get on the highway this morning and the turbo is acting very wierd, it will usually do this but go away after the car heats up. When I hit boost it seems like the car is kicking itself in the ass. The turbo spools up I can hear it and when I release the throttle air comes out of the BOV, but nothing is going into the manifold. I am thinking this problem could have something to do with my intercooler, or piping. I just put the stock piping and intercooler back on the other day. Could it be a I/C pipe blew off? I checked them out and they all seemed ok...Or a boost leak? I am going to rip it apart today, any sugesstions?
This happen to anybody?

Boost leak test the car my friend. If you just put the piping back on and it wasn't doing this before it is your best bet that this is the problem. :thumb:

I would recommend performing a boost leak test, no harm in doing so. Do you see any needle movement at all at your boost gauge? If not, then you may want to check your boost gauge connections.

the needle moves, and I have no compressor to boost leak test...

I know it sounds ghetto but you can also use something simple like a bicycle air pump. Of course a hand pump though to eliminate noise. ;) Pump air throughout the sytem while a buddy listens for leaks. Or uses soapy water and watches for bubbles. :thumb:
