so this weekend i plan on buying a parts car for $300. the only thing is that this guy said the car doesnt fire on its own, you need starting fluid to spray into the into.

however, after you spray that and it starts, it runs fine from there on. he said he thinks it may have to do with low compression in the motor.

do you think it may be a warped or cracked head, blown headgasket, blown piston rings, or something i am missing? let me know, thanks

Bring a compression tester with you, takes 5 mins. It's $300, are you expecting a perfect car? :)

yea that was my plan.

otherwise i might just ghetto-rig a silicone hose from the spray can to a hole i would drill into the intake, and strat it from inside the cabin, LOL, haha. hey its better than always popping the hood to start it,LOL

thanks

I had starting problems on my talon a few months back> i would have to spray starting fluid in or crank it over forever then it would start and run decent. It ended up being the caps on the ecu leaking. Hope that helps.
