oil bolt on head where turbo usaully feeds...i blew it out and lost all my oil...im now concerned... ive tryed retapping the hole but it still leaks.. any quick fixes? :talon:

I would use a solid bolt, thread lock, and a crush washer to seal the hole. Then I would run a new ss braided oil feed from your oil filter housing.

2 Crush washers (one on both sides of the line) and put hi-temp RTV Around it, let it cure for 24 Hours, and then get it fixed right as soon as possible. It'll probly need welded, drilled, and retapped. Or it just needs the second crush washer because all of the eye-bolts need two.

Hope you fix it,

Ryan:talon:

heli-coil will work great. also ive done it on 2 heads i forgot the size though i know transfercase are M12X1.25 but ya just find out the size and by a heli-coil kit about $40 maybe less but they hold just as good i think better then orignal threads. you just brill it out , the kit tells you the size bit to use then tap it with the tap the comes in the kit then screw the heli-coil in the the insert tool in the kit its really easy

i already have my turbo feeding of of the oil filter houseing... but thanks for the adive..anything else? ROFL :talon:

The same would apply. Drill out to the next size up, 2 new crush washers, retap and use the bigger solid bolt to plug the hole.

the only concern i have with drilling it out..is the fact of metal shavings in the oil...any way to stop this? :talon:

A small magnet and a shop vac should help. But I can see your concern. If needed you can probably also put a catch can and let the oil perssure push out what you cant get out with the vac and magnet.

Alright well now im just pissed...put a helicoil, crush washer, copper washer, tread locker and every combination of those you can think of...and the bolt continues to leak.....oh and bye the way...when i tapped the hole out i just greased the drill bit..and after went thorugh with some greased up Qtips to get the rest....but se4riusly i have no idea on how to stop this leak? :( anybody? :talon:

try wrapping teflon tape around the threads, wrap about 6 rounds, thats what i would have tried 1st since you've already tried retapping it
