just finished a rebuild* and started the car up and everything seemed to run fine, but tonight, 2nd day. i noticed a grey foamy substance had leaked onto the driveway. obviously oil and water mixed, i freaked that my head gasket was leaking. so i check my oil. it was pure and clear. then i checked my water/antifreeze. also clean. so where the heck are these things mixing and leaking? any thoughts?

Pretty scary for sure. Well, my thoughts are if the oil is clean and the water is clean, you probably are ok there. Check your transmission for leaks. As a matter of fact I would take the time to put it on a rack to look it over underneath. Also, put some cardboard under your car overnight and see what happens in the morning. Make a note exactly where it's location is and if it does it again you have a better chance of locating it. Remember, how many times have you gone to the store and come out to see antifreeze running from under your car only to find it was the previous guy that left it there only to give you a heart attack.

Hope this helps. Good Luck
