I was following this faq http://www.plymouthlaser.com/tbor.htm and this one http://www.ca.dsm.org/faq/tb-shaftseals.html and the N/T cars dont have the metal sleeve for the o-ring to go down into, so their for their a different size. Does anyone know what size I need I got the ones it listed on that vfaq and when I put them in the TB their not very tight at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need car today but I gotta get it back together and dont wanna use o-rings thats gunna allow it to leak.

Thanks alot.

I just used regular o-rings when I did mine. Take the whole throttle body into the hardware store and get a couple different sizes. I actually ended up double o-ringing mine with a larger o-ring on the inside that fit real tight and a thinner o-ring that barely fit beside the first one. That way the main o-ring can't move side-to-side on the throttle shaft. Lubed them up good with dielectric grease and did the same to the other side. Then bolted it all back together. I would replace the BISS screw o-ring at the same time.

You don't really need the metal casing. It just has to seal and you have to lube it to keep the o-ring from wearing out quick. My throttle body felt a little tight at first, but worked perfect once installed in the car. It has been over 5 months in a boosted car.
