OK. I drove my 1993 Eclipse home from work (5:30a.m.) and went to bed (midnight shift), My wife decided to drive my pride and joy to work (7:30a.m. same morning). I got a phone call from her later in the day and she told me that she had tried to drive it to work but when it started it "shook" and died. I haven't got it to run since. Now a little history. I had just finished rebuilding the engine along with a new cylinder head, alternator, timing belt, balance shaft belt, and all new belts. To date this is what I have done in attempts to remedy the no start condition. I disconnected the fuel line and blew it out with an air compressor and installed a new fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator. While the fuel system was disassembled I cleaned the injectors by soaking them in mineral spirits overnight and blowing them out and replaced their o-rings as well as cleaning out the fuel rail. I have checked for spark at each spark plug and found spark present. Timing is dead on. I accessed the computer via an analog voltmeter using terminals 1 and 12 per my service manual. A continuous sweep of the needle was noted and no further codes presented themselves. This, according to my manual indicates a normal state of operation of the ECM, I also hear the fuel injection relay click when I let off of the ignition switch after start attempt. I can hear the fuel pump running both when I try to start the engine and through the fuel tank with gas cap removed. Just to be certain I removed the fuel line from the fuel rail and placed it in a clear gallon jar. My nephew turned the engine over and I observed a wicked flow of fuel into the gallon jar. I am at a loss. Any ideas? Feel free to use my email for correspondence as I think this site is a wonderful thing and my Eclipse is the most fun car I have ever driven. Thanks.
