recently i did a boost leak test and found a huge leak at on of the fuel injectors, it seems that there was no seal at all between the injector and the head. I put in a new seal and the leak was gone, now i started up the car and right away as soon as i turn on the car without reving high or anything, HUGE amounts of smoke come out my tail pipe, and dont stop until i turn of my car. The higher I rev it, the more smokes comes out. I checked my turbo (t25) for shaft play and it had very little play and the fins seem fine. The valve seals were replaced less than 5000 miles ago. The motor sound healthy so Im not exactly sure what else it could be, does anyone have any ideas what it could be? I also took out my throttle body to replace the gaskets, could I have crossed some lines? both lines in the throttle body are coolant lines correct? Thanks in advance for your help.

Those are vacuum lines. It *could* be that while you've had the boost leak you ran super rich and got a lot of carbon buildup inside your exhaust system that is burning off. What color is the smoke?

Yes both are coolant lines..

Try a different set of injectors...

If its jet black it is PIG rich due to a stuck pintle on an injector...

no its not black at all, its white and it might have a tint of blue in it wich makes me think its oil. Now if its carbon buildup, how long, more or less should it smoke for? Im going to see if it goes away after reving it some more. Any other thoughts? thanks guys!

its definately oil, i noticed a lot of the bluish tint this time. But everything else seems fine, If its the turbo it should only smoke during boosting right?

One of my friends DSM had a bad turbo and it smoked alot when he started to build boost. Also if the turbo is going out it would more than likely make a loud supercharger like sound when your driving. Also are you %100 it has new valve seals ( because my 3000gt has bad valve seals and it does the same thing that you explained ). Maybe it can be a bad set of seals you put in there. Other than that I don't know what can be wrong with your car.

well I know when I put them in they were brand new, months later I had taken the head out to get it decked flat by my machinest, he told me he had to take out the valves because they were going to get in the way of the little bit that he had to shave off. So were the valve seals supposed to be replaced with new ones again after that? I mean thats the only reason I could think of why it would be the valve seals. Also would it smoke THAT much if it were the seals. It smokes so much that it gets to the point where I cant see through the smoke. Im going to take out the valve cover to see if I see anything, if you have any other ideas please let me know, thanks!

Pull the LICP and see if there's a bunch of oil in it.
You are keeping an eye on your oil levels right?

just took out my LICP and there was a small amount of oil in the inner walls of the pipe, there was also a tiny sump of oil in the outlet of the compressor housing. Could it be the turbo? Like I said before, it has small shaft play and the fins look fine to me, also i wasnt boosting when it starts smoking, it smokes all the time, even during idle. Any thoughts? thanks

...ohh and yes I've been keeping an eye on my oil levels, its about 3/4 full, wich is another reason why I beleive the smoke is from oil.

If your turbo seals are bad especially to the degree which you're describing, you would have had oil literally pour out of the LICP. Since you did not, you need to run a compression test and see if your rings or valves are bad. If a compression test doesn't yield any answers, do a leak down test.

Hello again, I just did a compression test and all numbers were good, about 195 through all 4, now something I did notice was, right before the compression test, I turned on the car for a while to make sure the battery was fully charged since it was sitting there for about a week. When I turned it off to take out the plugs/wires, there was smoke coming out of cyl. #4. It wasnt a huge amount but it did last a little while. From this I guessed that the problem was from that cylinder, but when I did the compression test, it came out just like the others. Is it possible that the smoke from that cyl. was normal? Also, another thing I was thinking about through the week, was if it was possible that when I did boost leak test, I pressurized the engine too much and forced one or more of the valve seals to pop off? Is this even possible? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks again!
