Hi all. I have a problem with my car. It ran fine till I took out the ECU to check to see if it had an EPROM (it doesn't), I put it back in the car, made sure all the connections we secure, turned her over, ran fine for about 5 minutes, than just stopped. Everytime I go to stop it stalls or goes down to around 2 to 300 rpm and wants to stall. I did most of the FREE MODS on the car, I checked everything out and still cant figure out what happened. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Is your Bov vented? If not try adjusting your curb idle speed. Using the biss screw located on your TB. It should be between 750 and 800 rpm.

Thanks, I will try adjusting the idle screw, the BOV is vented. It's crazy how the hole thing came along. I did all the MODS and the car ran fine, than after I took out the ECU and put it back in the problem started. I think when I took it out I lost all of the data and maps that the computer had for the system. Thanks again. Tim

The main problem is the Bov it must be rerouted back in. Unless you have a Maft, speed density, or similar setup, you are probably running rich too right? do this before adjusting your idle I bet it will fix your problem.

Well I can't get the link to work but look in the FAQ section about venting the bov.

Hi and thanks everyone for the info. Boy, I never had these kinds of problems when I moded out my 92 Turbo about 8 years ago. I did find the problem after looking around a bit in the engine. I checked all the hoses, no vacuum leaks. I then checked the BOV. Its hooked up and vented correctly. The only thing I could think of was to let the computer reset itself to allow for the new changes I made, It did and now runs better than it did before. By Taking out the ECU it lost the info and had to remap and adjust itself, Its the only thing I can think of at this point as to what happened. Any other suggestion are very welcome. Thanks again everyone. :D
