Is it possible for the timing belt or balance shaft belt to squeak? Every single time I start my car up I get about 3 chirps from a belt, and i'm trying to figure out which one it is. It doesn't seam feasible for those two to make noise the way the pullies are set up. Could it be them?

Yeah well that was my guess too, but they are new belts and they are very tight. I've got a new crank pulley sitting out in the garage, so i'm gonna go swap that out now, and put my ac belt back on. Thanks

My belt that squealed when i started up my car was the alternator belt. Put alot of tension on the tensioner bolt and that took care of it. That was after i changed the power steering pump and all the belts. Stated above there should be some slack but my belt had to be really really tight or it would squeal and make noise until the car got up to operating temp or after a few seconds. :dsm:
