80 Amp alternator Fuse

I just finished installing a new engine... everything is fine except all of t sudden I blew the 80 amp alternator fuse. and I know that is fur from tha talternator to the battery for safety, I was thinking maybe a bad ground but where is there a ground(s) that would cause that to blow? any help greatly appreciated... need car asap

Sometimes they just go over time. I had mine just go out from time. It was actually a little corroded. I don't think there is one ground for that fuse, but the whole box is grounded.
 
Ok guys any idea replaced the relay and let it idle... fine but I started driving it blew the relay again. any ideas would help
 
Good luck its a dsm. They aren't known for having the best reliabilty. Follow the harness to the altenator. It could be defunked, and could be pushing to much though the fuse.
